Experiencing ice climbing on this 27 mile long valley glacier might be one of the best ways to explore the vertical ice and more. This tour includes a direct flight, out and back. So you’ll get to take in some great views on your way to some of the best climbing areas.
Depending on the groups ability and pace each climber will enjoy up to 3-4 climbers per person over a duration of 3-4 hours. Your glacier guides will help you with your gear and questions as well as set up the climb sites you get to. Since this tour is perfect for any ice climber, even if this is your first time, the glacier crew will be there to assist you with techniques and safety. Climbing gear and tools will be provided for this tour.
This tour does include lowering into large features such as glacier moulins, so we strongly advise against this experience if you have a fear of heights. This tour starts with beginner terrain and techniques and gradually progresses to more difficult features.
Plastic mountaineering boots are provided from mens sizes 4-14. Please advise us in advance of your trek if you need a size at the large or small end of this range. Please bring your own hiking boots that cover your ankles if you have them, as they are needed for the approach to the climbing areas.
