Winter Helicopter Exploration

blue ice cave on Alaska glacier in winter

Ice features change over time and create beautiful features like this one

Your trip starts with a scenic flight out of Glacier View and over the winter scenery of Alaska. After 20 minutes of taking in the scenery from the air you will land onto the glacier ice. Enjoy a private experience on the glacier with your team of ice guides. They will be able to provide knowledge, help you learn skills, and find the best ice features.

Going into an ice cave means getting to see some of the most brilliant colors of blue ice. There are many chances for photography and taking in the details of the ice. No experience is needed for this tour and your gear will be provided. However, it is up to you to have the proper layers and outer wear. Alaska’s winter temperatures are often below zero so be sure to bundle up!

Inside an Ice Cave

You and your group can enjoy up to an hour on the ice and exploring the ice cave. After spending some time in the Alaska cold you will be happy to enjoy the warming hut near the ice cave. Additionally, you’ll be able to enjoy hot beverages and relax while the guides load up the helicopter for your flight back.
