Alaska Lodges
Usually, when you hear the word “lodge” you immediately picture rustic log cabins in the wilderness. Lodges in Alaska take it to the next level. And no one is exactly like the other, so let’s explore what is out there.
A High Bar
First up, The Sheldon Chalet, resting within the Don Sheldon Amphitheater on Mount Denali’s Ruth Glacier. At almost 6,000 feet, this lodge boasts the highest stay in North America. Only accessible by plane, this luxury chalet features large picture windows so you can view the scenery from everywhere, even your bed! You may not have wifi, but you won’t need it! You are able to customize your itinerary to have your perfect Alaskan stay. Enjoy delectable cuisine, experience the northern lights, relax in the sauna, trek on the glacier, and much more!
A Wild Time

Kodiak Island is known for it’s remote landscape and chance to spot bears in the wild
If a wildlife encounter is the adventure you seek, look no further than the Kodiak Brown Bear Center. Settled on the remote Kodiak island, on the shores of Karluk Lake. Home to the Kodiak bear, the largest brown bear of all, only second in size to the polar bear! Here, on the 210,000-acre private reserve, you’ll have access to the wilderness like never before. With your own tiny cabin and walking safaris during the day, you’re guaranteed to have a great trip!
The cabins are centralized to main lodges and accommodations nearby. The cabins themselves are modernly designed and offer you a private experience. You will have access to large walk in showers and en-suite bathrooms in your own cabin. You even get your own private deck, overlooking the Karluk Lake. These cabins come with electricity and many other comforts as well. This is an excellent way to enjoy the creature comforts and to enjoy one of the most remote locations in Alaska.
